Kep Koorliny (Rain Coming) supported Noongar community members to use poetry as a medium for storytelling and to express their personal histories.

A series of workshops were developed and facilitated by writing professionals from diverse backgrounds. Participants were encouraged to share their stories in themed workshops designed to aid attendees in using poetry to find their voice and articulate their thoughts in a creative way.

Three, monthly public poetry readings at The Moon Café in Northbridge provided a supportive space for workshop attendees and past CAN poetry participants to share their work, and connect with other poets, readers and members of the literary community.

CAN also assisted facilitators to provide guidance to participants who wished to release their poems to a wider audience, so that their stories could be heard by more people.
